Maybe your hubby is running away from the reality of the situation. That's the real problem. Facing head on the challenge isn't easy. Needs one of you to stand up and make decisions. If anything probably feels he has let his family down. Do some research discreetly and weigh up your options before discussing it with him. Probably best done after a bottle of wine!

Hi all and thank you for the helpful advice so far. After a very stressful weekend trying to make hubby see the future, we have made some plans .I have rang the tax office and discovered I am on the wrong tax code and due a rebate, how much I dont know but its a start!. We have made a list of outgoings and areas we can cut down on. Hubby is giving up smoking which will be extra money in the pot each month. Then when our accounts look a bit better we r going to see a mortgage advisor and beg for a repayment mortgage that we can afford we are just praying there is something out there. I feel much better we have made a plan, whether it works out or not we dont know but we hope so. Thanks to all for your advice.0
