Will a job change affect a mortgage application?

I'm hoping to apply for my first mortgage in the next few months.
I have been with my current employer for 6 years this April. I've been offered a job with another company with a £3k increase on my current salary.
Will this change of employer have a negative effect on my application? Will the wage increase be a good thing?
Don't know what to do

Shouldn't have an affect, you may have to get something written from your new employer though that contains your salary.0

Most lenders will accept a job offer letter as confirmation of income, they may delay completion until you have actually started the job.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
