  • Some people have been comping for 3 years and have had no wins. Some people get an amazing win within a week. Stick with it.

But do bear in mind, a lot of people are entering several hundred a day, and if you look at the best cash/gadget/holiday comps on here there are about 700 people entering on this forum alone!

Don't give up too soon, but also don't expect too much too early. It's a game of chance, and the more you enter the better chance you have.

Keep trying! Go look at the I won! I won! I won! thread, lots of people do win! It just takes a lot of effort and perseverance. Best learn to enjoy it as much as you can, with or without the prizes!

  • Been comping for 2 months now and not had much luck. Won a box of weetabix, Lacoste perfume and a adventure day which I cant use because i cant get to the locations where they are, Oh yeah, and a fridge magnet, You gotta be patient and lucky in this game. My daughter has been comping months and has won loads. Thats what spurs me on. Very time consuming but all you need is one good win and then I suppose it will all be worth while, Its my new hobby, and everyone should have a hobby. Good luck for the future.

I enter about 3 or 4 of the competitions a day for the last six months and managed to win a Dell Laptop, £10 I-tunes voucher, Weetabix Tin, Pack of Rice Crispie squares and a Pringles speaker. I used to enter about 10 competitions a day for six months about two years ago and won £50 and then £1000.
Some people have endless e-mail accounts and face-book accounts to enter competitions multiple times and enter every competition regardless of whether they want to win it or not.
I enter competitions once and only enter the competitions I would want to win the prize. I enter them and forget about them. If I win then it is great and I am very happy. If I don't then I am not bothered. I think if you get too serious about the competitions and worry too much about winning or not winning then that is when it stops being fun.
  • Don't get disheartened, be patient and have fun :)

I love entering comps, its fun!

If you are getting disheartened after only 3 weeks then I think comping is not for you. Good luck though.
    Thank you all who post.

You need to keep going. Some people win in their first day, and others as it has been mentioned have never won.

It's all down to luck again, the amount you enter and the types you enter. If you're only doing iPads for example, you'll have less chance than trying to win a shane ritchie CD :) x
December Wins: £300 worth of board games, £500 Tesco Vouchers Best Win in 2023: £500 Tesco Vouchers
  • I enter 100's a day and never won,
Had a little moan, and the best thing someone said to me is. Stop expecting to win. Then it will come along.
It is very dis heartening though when u read on the forum that people only comp very few and win. But. I'm not giving up just yet lol

I don't believe this is true..

Of course you will get disheartened we all do at some stage i have started comping again at the start of Feb i have had a few wins the last week i always think it works in arrears so you enter these comps this month but you wont hear anything until next month if that makes sense. You have to be in it to win it and the more that you enter the more chance you have. When i feel disheartened I look at what everyone else is winning and it gives me the boost that you CAN win. Keep at it and good luck!!!!:j

If you're getting down hearted give end date comping a go - as you are entering comps a day or so before they close you can hear very quickly if you win
