;discussion/4472029]Spoke to them and got a quote. I specifically said DO NOT DO A FULL CREDIT SEARCH.
They said its ok its only a soft search. OK, so we went through it all - they said got accepted for loan with Sainsburys. Again, I said DO NOT PROGRESS IT YET - I will get back to you.
Phoned them again today to say OK, please go ahead. Turns out a credit search was done on the day despite me saying please don't do it. Worse still even though they sent me an email saying I got accepted, they put me through to Sainsburys who told me I've been rejected!
Unhappy that FF put me through as a credit search despite me telling them not to without my permission.
Is there any way this can be removed from my record?
Yes you did......read your post!!0 -
You were going to apply anyway.....what difference does it make. You would have been turned down in any circumstances. One search will have no impact whatsoever....
;59681959]As a company director, its sometimes awkward to get a loan.
Does that prevent you going direct to the lender rather via Freedom Finance ?0 -
Yes you did......read your post!!
OK. But FF did do a search without my permission.
And I only agreed to go ahead because FF had said it had been agreed.
Worryingly when I spoke to Santander they had no idea about soft searches and said every application was a proper search.
Pointing out that its wrong for FF to advertise on their website that there will be no impact on your credit record. In fact, this is complete rubbish.0 -
This has had no impact whatsoever on your credit record.Sealed pot challange no: 3390

Everyone....one search will have no impact whatsoever...You need to take a chill pill....!0 -
and it was a search that highlighted you wouldn't get a loan, so you weren't capable of getting the loan, you're still not capable of getting the loan, therefore no impact, relax.Sealed pot challange no: 3390

Once again - if your happy for companies to mislead you and do things on your behalf when you've told them not to, then crack on and take it.0
