Welcome Finance / MKDP Default Dissapeared?

This is about my old Welcome loan which itself is marked as satisfied on my Experian, but was passed on to MKDP, which they defaulted in 2009/10 I believe.

I received an alert of a change to my file recenlty, checked it, to find this default from MKDP has been removed as "less significant" Why? I have been receiving letters recently about this too which I ignored

My 'score' has also risen to from 787 to 808. Just stuck myself on the electoral register too so hopeful of more repair.

Where have you picked up the 'less significant' phrase? does it say that on your experian file? or have mkdp sent a letter?

Has the whole account gone from your credit file? or just the default has gone but the credit account still shows?

What is the situation with the debt at the moment? its still unpaid? and you are not paying anything towards it at the moment?

What was the default date on your file before it disappeared?

You never know when 21 bonus score points will come in handy.... I'm envious.

Thank you for the reply. I was starting to lose faith for a bit.
The "less significant" comment was quoted in the alert on my Experian file. Account is gone, default gone. Debt 'allegedly' outstanding. Paid nominal fee until 2009 I believe. Been receiving a lot of letters over last few months which have stopped now as it happens. Weird, as I have been considering getting these straightened out in the very near future. Seems one less to deal with.

    Apples2, was that a dig?

Will still linger for some time yet. In the context of lenders credit scoring you.

Okay, so I assumed if this is not on my file, then it cannot hinder me. Am I wrong?

I am in control now. Credit crunch and a loss of job in 08 were the catalysts for me as with many. Will be debt free this year. 2 of the 3 defaults are a few hundred which will be paid in due course.
