Cats' weight

As my 4 were boostered up today, had a chance to have their weight checked (for worming) and....
Teddy is NOT 10kg as I though, he is a mere 7.5kg
Fred 6kg
George 5.7 kg
Macius 3.9kg
As Zara is 39.5kg...
I have 62.6 kg of furies at home.....
Teddy was in one carrier and the other 3 cats together in a small dog cage, VERY heavy to lift at 15.6kg (plus cage)....
Fred was panting like a dog all the way to/from vets, never seen anything like that in a cat, he was panting like a dog poor thing was so stressed out (we did not pack the fridge in the car, Fred must have suffered from fridge separation anxiety).
Back home, poor Fred hid under the duvet and did not even come out to eat (!!!!) till good 8 hours after the vets....
Well, till next year

and cat's law of gravity means when you are carrying them any distance in a carrier, they gain an extra 10lbs!Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

Had a bit of a blonde moment (no offence if anyone is blonde
) and thought "bloomin heck that must be a tiger"... then remembered you have a dog too :rotfl:
I blame it being Friday
We weighed our cats (with a hessian bag and a set of fishing scales-not dead accurate but I was curious).
Salem is 5.5kg (he's lost 0.5kg since we got Gizmo, guess the running around is doing him good)
Gizmo is 2.75kg (he was tiny and underweight when we got him so I'm over the moon he's now at his right weight)0 -
Mine are almost 5kg and almost 6kg. I weigh their food but both are indoors quite a bit and although I do play with them they both need more exercise as you can see they are overweight by their tummy mass!0

Your cats are massive  I thought mine were bad approaching 5kg a puss

We weigh there food as well. they are both on a RAW/BARF diet and if you guestimate the portion they balloon in size so have to be strict with them
I did wonder aboutt he 39.5kg as well :rotfl:Ant. :cool:0 -

Thanks - Teddy has this weird mean look on his face all the time but he is a proper softie...
Bit worried about his weight at 7.5kg as I was sure at some point last year he was around 9kg or just over.
Need to keep an eye on my gentle giant...0 -
