hi

Went to a farm shop Saturday and treated myself to what said chocolate crunch. However when I ate they weren't but my Were scummy. They were like a layer of biscuit, were digestive biscuit and could taste chocolate (proper not cocoa) and golden syrup. Loved them but at £2 for 4 small ones. Want to make my own. Thanks n advance. X

  • It's what they had at the royal wedding!

    Ingredients

    Preparation method

    1. Use cling film to line a 20cm (8in) shallow, square-shaped tin. Leave extra cling film hanging over the sides.
    2. Bash the biscuits into pieces using a rolling pin. (Put them in a plastic bag first so they don't go everywhere!)
    3. Melt chocolate, butter and golden syrup in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Stir occasionally.
    4. Leave to cool, then put the chocolate mixture in the fridge for 1-2 hours to set.
    5. Turn out the cake and peel off the cling film. Cut the cake into 12 squares and enjoy!

I think maybe you missed out the bit where you need to mix the biscuits with the chocolate and put in the tin? I was reading thinking "why would you melt the chocolate and then cool it again?"!
