I bought a melon on Saturday from Asda, I cut into it for the first time today and it is horrible, As soon as I put it to my mouth it is very bitter, made my tongue quite sore. I have put it in a bag in the fridge, not sure wether to return it, phone them or bin it for the sake of £2. What would you do, thanks.

I tend to take a photo and write an email if I don't have time to go to the shop. If you go to the shop they usually just refund (well at Sainsburys anyway)0

I have bought strawberries from Morrisons, and by the evening they have gone mouldy, have taken them back and had a refund. Now my children call Morrisons, Mouldy Morrisons.0

Return them, make a call to stores customers services get a reference nmber and when next in take the receipt, Unacceptable and Down to departments ability to get hs staff to remove mouldy fruit, on the melons it sounds like the melon was kept in a atmospheric bag on its journey and has gone anaerobic and fizzy, complain and get a refund.!"Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain."

I emailed customer service at head office, they rang me and apologised but could not explain why the melon was like this. I have returned it to my local store today and given a full refund. Thanks all.0
