  • House of Fraser electrical bargains.

Anyone been in there over the weekend? spotted they're flogging off ridiculous amounts of Sony MP3 players and other stuff at cheapo cheapo prices.

This one (which I bought) was £49.99 compared to Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-NWS205-...635028&sr=8-3). Cheapest Sony MP3 started from £29.99. Pure The ONE DaB radio £29.99 - although it is manky pink.

Tom Toms are at daft prices as well - 510's going for £199 (amazon £240), and tellys and hifis all to clear. Basically, looks like everything is up for grabs!!!!

Someone's been hitting the markdown hammer!

but i think house of frazer need a web designer
can you see what deals are available online or do you have to go instore to find out whats avalable?
  • Their internet is pants - they've only got carpet sweepers and dab radios under electrical??? I went in store. The MP3's and sat nav were the biggies, but tellys and hifi's were all well cheap.
  • Just a note to say that I called in to Birmingham on the way home today.

TVs are a bit hit and miss, but maybe some internet matching prices nonetheless. However what interested me was a small Sony Walkman as my Gen 2 20GB Ipod needs the battery replacing.

Really chuffed to buy the NW-S205 for £49.99. I knew what I was looking for as this has been well reviewed. I'd suggest £80-£90 is the best online price.

It wasn't about the storage for me, 2Gb will be usefull enough, but the detonator design, FM radio & 3 min quick charge for 3 hours battery life are all killer features for the occassions when I use the train.

These are the other prices I remember (for info only, i'm not suggesting they are all great prices)

    All Sony walkmans ALL halfprice
    Sony RDR-HXD860 £299
    Tomtom 510 £199
    Tomtom 710 £249
    Tomtom 910 £279 (i think)
LCD tvs at random prices, but not clear if the prices were for display models
Pink Roberts digital retro styled radio £79

    Hope this helps.

    Happy hunting.

PS. I must add that the guy that served me was really helpful. You don't always get that these days :o)

This eBayer seems to have bought at least 14 8gb I-pods and 2 sony 4gb players just as the store closed - bet they got them really cheap, but what I'd like to know is why were these still in stock when the London stores had no sign of I-pods and sold out of the Sony's last week?

These people really annoy me
