you aren't bidding on things on each others accounts are you? thats shill bidding and they will restrict or even close accounts for that. If you are paying each other via paypal for non ebay items that should not affect your ebay accounts and i would be asking for an explanation of why they have been linked.

god no, would never do that. I owe my mum money and often paypal it to her, then it she can withdraw straight into her account instantly.

So frustrated i have always operated my ebay account honestly and within ALL of their policies and have 100% feedback (as does mums account). Has now been referred to another department. Seems to be the paypal and occasional shared laptop link.

edited as forgot to add their software flagged as they didnt seem to think we both existed- they now agree all ok- but cannot increase seller limits hence referral to another department with an apology. So effectively cannot sell at the moment- OH suggested using his account have discussed with ebay, we can do this but may flag again due to shared ip (he hasnt sold or used account for years hence why no prob so far) or because at the moment he has no paypal and would use mine (we have a joint account so never needed second paypal) they have put notes on both accounts but will not stop their software if it so decides...but at leaast clealy documented and they email transcript of their online chat conversation...

They say at least 48 hours for contact from other department and may be a case of computer says no to reinstating/increasing seller limits even though they agree no wrong doing!!! I have pointed out this is appalling customer service.

This happened to a friend of mine ... Unfortunately her account was closed .... Her ip address was linked to her son , who was just using his account to sell his uni books etc ( no " scam " " high end items " ) ....She was honestly not doing anything wrong .... and neither was he .... No shill bidding ... everything was posted out ok .. goods all received .. No amount of explaining to paypal or Ebay helped the situation ..

The problem with Ebay and Paypal is ... that with each person you speak to they seem to give out " conflicting " information ....

I don't mean to worry you by telling you this ... but you may be better off popping onto the Ebay board for some advice BEFORE you do anything else ....

I would say that you are being " very wise " in NOT using your husbands account at the moment ..

I hope you manage to sort things out ..

I had something similar with eBay. Ended up opening a new account and adding the extra email address to my PayPal. No problems at all now and I still can't use my old account after 2 years!

My buyer has finally paid and a teeny £0.53 TCB. I REALLY fancied doing a car boot on Sunday but checked the weather and it's dire :( I had a hissy fit in my sons room last night, went in his wardrobe and all his clothes were stuffed at the bottom rather than on the hanger. I wouldn't normally care, if he wants creased clothes then fine, but I had ironed all of it and hung it up on the day before. I gutted his wardrobe, threw everything on the floor! The amount of carp he was hoarding is unreal. So give me a good excuse to clean out his things and sell the carp he's outgrown. Urgh.

  • Hello! I've finally started my month, have a £5 AGC from Swagbucks, £10 asda card from Maximiles, also money in Topcahback, shopitise and Quidco, but I'll wait to withdraw them and add them then. 4 items listed on Ebay, 1 will sell, at least one more should as I only listed it last night and had a best offer and two questions already. Found $20 of holiday money in a kitchen cupboard, listed on ebay, and have bids of £14.91 on it- don't think it's even worth that much after the exchange rate!
