Hi i have been accepted for a mortgage but now they want 6 months bank statements i am a little worried as i do a bit of gambling which will show on there, there is quite a few £10's that go out of my account but there is also money that sometimes goes back in from them will this affect my mortgage when they look at my statements?

I should also state that im a first time buyer

Shouldn't make any difference, all they are looking for is that the account is well run and for any undisclosed commitments (loans etc not declared)

They're looking to make sure you live within your means. If you have £300 a month disposable income and you bet with it, that's up to you and it wouldn't make a difference.

Now is a great time to completely kick the habit. A few games here and there, turns into much much more - gambling is uncontrollable, no matter what anyone says.

You don't want to be down the line where the £10's become £20's become £50's and then frantically trying to chase your loss.....

with now the extra bonus round of possibly gambling away your mortgage repayments.

Do yourself a massive favour and stop.

Put the time into the new house.

    Wish you all the best.
