Hi all,
First off, apologies if this has already been posted.
The item is currently out of stock, but just a heads up if it does return back in stock - a Toshiba DVD recorder for £49 with a 2 year guarantee. There are plenty of John Lewis online voucher codes doing the rounds which can probably reduce the price further and they're doing free delivery on everything!
Here's the link:

On the face of it looks like a good deal, but as always with these things, best to check out user reviews on this DVD recorder before purchasing because it may have been reduced in price for a reason!
Let's hope stocks are replinished.

The OP was only trying to be helpful. Please try to be constructive rather than waste your time being negative. Perhaps you could keep a look out for when the offer appears then and let us all know.....?

The OP has spotted a great buy, and the link allows you to input your email address for John Lewis to alert you when it's back in stock.
Indeed, however these " out of stock " items do have a habit of remaining out of stock, nice find by the OP, let us just hope that JL get more stock.0 -

I have used it and things do come back in stock.0 -
I don't know how it happened but I spotted one of these in stock earlier this week and it is shown as being despatched today. I must have just been very lucky as I didn't get an email from John Lewis notifying me that it was back in stock. I bought a pen to make it up to £50 and enable me to get £10 off with a discount code (from the discount codes forum). Many thanks, OP.:beer:0

If anyone really wants one of these then you can pick them up on Ebuyer for £59.99, then get a further £10 off using Google checkout. Is listed as Grade A stock, i.e. not new.

Bah.... I can but admire your prescience:
"We are very sorry to inform you that the Toshiba DR-160 DVD Recorder is now unlikely to be back in stock. Please accept our apologies for any disappointment caused.

Indeed, same here.
