What's the best Building Society to open a mortgage with if you are a discharge bankrupt of nearly 8 years? I'm currently with nationwide but they declined me, Even though i have never missed payments, i have no CCJ's and I'm not bankrupt, Infact my credit rating with them should be great lol. I've read online that maybe one of these 2 building Societys would be better for discharged bankrupts:

YORKSHIRE BUILDING SOCIETY

or

SKIPTON BUILDING SOCIETY.

If you know of other banks/BS then please state them in your post. Deposit should be 15% - 25%, I do not have this right now, I'm just doing my homework whilst i save it up.

Thanks

There are a number of other lenders who would consider it .
It's not just the lender who is important but the amount of deposit with that lender .

Skiptons criteria is discharged bankrupts are considered as long as 4 years discharged and no further missed payments to anything since. Bank statements in credit proving affordability.
