Once I buy something I usually keep it till it breaks and this bloomin phone won't break, been dropped loads of times too. :rotfl:

My Sony hi fi only broke 2 years ago and I had it since I was 19. Not going to say how long over 20 years that was. :o

I'm like that with my everyday shoes:o Was in the garage this morning sticking the sole back on yet again and giving them a good polish. They've still got a few mm of tread left so good for another few thousand miles around Tesco and they are only about fifteen years old:rotfl::rotfl:

    Evening/morning night shift

I have been doing more clearing in the bedroom tonight. I had cleared out two tall chests of drawers, and sorted out the things I was keeping into one of them, just inside the room. But I then decided that it would be best to get rid of that one, and bring the other chest from other side of the bed to use, so emptied the one I was now getting rid of onto the bed in piles as to what would go into each drawer in the other one. I then somehow managed to get this solid mahogany chest of drawers into the car to take to tip tomorrow, but it was very hard work  I stripped the drawers out and put them in separately, but even so the frame weighed a ton ..... but I did it, and all in the car out of the way

However, that means that my bed was covered in the contents  so I got the drawers out of the other chest and filled them up properly on the bed. I realised that I wouldn't be able to get the frame round the bed, and needed to get it over the bed, so decided to pile the full drawers in the bathroom out of the way for now. I then found out that the frame of this one was even heavier than the other, as it is taller, and I struggled to move it. I did get it near the bottom of the bed where I had cleared a space but couldn't lift it or tip it onto the bed as t here was no space due to wardrobe behind it and with it's weight too

So I came back into sitting room for an hour :rotfl: but will have to go back in now and do it, or I will not be able to go to bed  I am going to have to clear the bed completely, shuffle the chest to middle of bed and somehow tip it onto the bed and off the other side, then get it in place. I will have to put the drawers back into it too or I won't be able to shower in the morning  Oh, and then there is all the stuff that was piled on the corner which all fell over when I pulled the chest out from where it was

It seemed a good idea at the time, but was probably not the best thing to start doing at 8.30 at night when you can only do a bit at a time, then have a break :o

I will let you know how I get on :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi 3dogs, hope you get on ok. Worried about you now moving it all about this late in the day. Why do things always take so much longer than we imagine. I get in the same predicaments. ;)

Night FC, think it's time for me as well I keep getting a lot of earache from DW about trying to creep quietly into bed in the small hours and bumping into various things in the dark!:rotfl::rotfl:

Must come with an Elite badge, no matter how quiet I try to be, I get the "What time is it?" Sometimes I tell a little white lie. :o
