    Hello and congratulations.

Last year I passed the final interview stage which included role play scenarios. The structure and layout of the application process will vary depending on which brigade you are applying for. My interview process was not anywhere near as daunting as I thought it would be. They seemed to want to check what was written in my original application form and question me as to how I met the personal criteria as is outlined in the person spec. They want you to be non discriminate, community focused, proactive with regards to educating the community. As well as this I was asked about being able able to motivate myself and professional development, worth mentioning the IPDS show you've done your research.

http://www.fireservice.co.uk/ This is a good resource for information. PM me you want any more info.

Word of warning. Passing the interview does not guarantee a job. I am still on the recruits list and hope to hear in July for final chance of of selection. The last recruits course was cancelled so if I do not hear next time I will have to reapply again after going through the full application process which has taken over 2 years. Est numbers 5000 applicants 100 people on recruits list, 75 jobs. Hope I dont miss out.

Sorry been busy and am obviously getting back to you a bit late. I'm assuming you read the info on the IPDS on the fireservice.co.uk website. Hope the interview went well.
