More Competitions from Dallies Spread Across the Magazines

Well I logged in this morning to do my daillies and there were another 5/6 of these spread across all the magazines, new prizes added today.
In fact the majority of the competitions currently running on 'Now' are the couple of prizes drawn from all the entries spread across the magazines.
Yes, they're good prizes, but...
Maybe I'm just turning into a grumpy old woman.
 I'll join you in the grumpy old woman club!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
Totally agree. Although Ive only entered for the TV out of those new comps. A lot of the comps aren't interesting me anymore. Maybe Im getting too picky. Though 2 TVs out of all those mags, I think they are trying to save money this year.Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
Best Wins: Ipad, Nintendo 3DS, £400 Shopping Spree at LK Bennett, £100 Boots vouchers
Total Wins (Since April 2012) £3442.56
Big thanks to all who post comps :T:beer:0 -

I agree - some of the prizes are just books, dvds and other small prizes - I'm not bothering with those as I have no interest in them. I too am getting picky!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
I already have a Kobo Glo, so that's one I won't be competing for.0

I find that doing the same competition over and over again on the different magazine sites is too boring for words.
I emailed some of the magazines using the 'contact us' button and told them that such competitions are less appealing because
1. The chance of winning is obviously smaller
2. Doing the same competition over and over and over again on the same day is MEGA boring so I will probably give shared competitions a miss.
I got a reply thanking me for my comments. Perhaps if other compers emailed them as well.....?0 -
A lot of the dallies finish in the coming week, so it will be interesting to see if there are as many 'same prize spread' replacing them.0

It's certainly afecte the way I do them - I used to enter as many as possible - noe I do that for the ones only on one mag but for the shared ones they have to be a) worth over £100 and something I'd really wantproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

not all comps are spread across the mags - the smaller prizes are usually with one only - it's the weekends away etc that are spreadproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0 -
Another Monday morning and more of those competitions shared across all magazine titles.
If you don't like them, don't do them. The advertisers who sponsor these competitions want lots of entries to make their marketing efforts look good. They know how many entries each competition gets. They won't want to continue sponsoring types of competitions that don't get many entries.
Of course, some people will continue to enter, reasoning that if there are fewer entries, their chance of winning is higher. True, but short sighted.
The best way to get IPC to stop putting the same competition in all their magazines is to avoid them and concentrate on the exclusive competitions.0 -
I'm only entering the odd one or two of the latest because they are things I would like to win, but the magazines won't turn down freebie prizes whether they are to be spread across the magazines or not.
And it's still going to get the companies product seen whether we enter or not.0
