Time off excuses for agency meetings

Hi
I work as Legal secretary/PA at the moment and having been in job 3 years now want to get payrise, move job maybe etc.
Last year I went on a few interviews, had to arrange half days etc. don't really want to do that now.
I'm getting an agency ring me up to register, says they have an interview. What should I say apart from? doctors/dentist etc?
It takes me about an hour to get to the agency and then back to my work and they won't see me later than 4.15am but can do at 8.30am. I would offer to make up time too.
Just don't want to arouse too much suspicion at work!

To be honest, rather than lying cannot you arrange meetings interviews on your days off? what about half days do you work full time or parttime.
I maybe old fashioned but think people lying is a bit of a cheeky thing to do.
Im sure there will be others who will disagree and give you better advise/infoAll the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0
