  • Hi, thanks for all the replies, the only one i havnt been to where i live is The Range, i will try them. They all seem to do bowls, but not the right shape and unfortunately i dont spend the £20 needed to collect the 5 stickers for one at Tesco.

Not sure which one you are after but don't forget there is a free click and collect to some Tesco stores.

They do have sets of 3 at Argos but they are £11.99.

Nearly forgot, have you tried Amazon? A lot of things on there are free delivery.

    ;)
  • Ironmongers usually sell these bowls.

I've started to do individual sponge puds in the microwave (they take less time to cook and I'm impatient where my pud is concerned :D) I used glass ramekin type dishes that Gu puddings came in (I managed to buy some whoopsied). Perfect for the microwave! However, whilst trawling through the reduced stuff at my local Co-op, I found some twin packs of their Truly Irresistable chocolate fondants (they were delish :)) and once the pot was empty, (it didn't take long) I discovered that the pots (plastic) are dishwasher safe and microwaveable. So I now use these - perfect size for individual sponge puds!
If you're still after a larger bowl, I'd agree with looking in charity shops - you'll often find them in there.
  • I save the microwaveable Christmas pudding containers - ideal for sponges!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

  • Thankyou everybody, i know i should have kept the plastic bowl my xmas pudding came in. Everyone has given me good ideas of where to buy. Also booter, i thought also of buying the small individual sponges in the plastic bowls and using them, i may try it, but im greedy and was thinking of making a larger one, hoping it lasts more than a day or so :D

lol - me too, that's why I have to do the smaller ones. If I do a large steamed sponge, it still only lasts one sitting :o:rotfl:
