Tetrapaks for freezer moulds

Over the last couple of years some things that have normally been sold in tins are available in tetrapaks (chick peas and tomatoes are the ones I've bought).
The 400g paks make ideal freezer moulds (with a freezer food bag inside) for freezing individual portions of bulk cooked chilli/bolognaise/curry etc so that you maximise your freezer space and don't get portions frozen together.
Just cut the top off when you use the contents, rinse & dry.
I typically fill up about 10 at a time, my freezer has become so much more useful.

:j That is brilliant, thank you so much. I have a very small tabletop freezer so every little trick helps.
I've been making candles using 1 litre UHT milk TetraBricks as molds, too. Just rip 'em apart to get the candle out at the end.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I use 2ltr plastic milk containers cut in half and then with a bag inside. Once the curry/casserole or whatever has started to freeze take the bag out, it will keep the shape now. So you're only storing square bags in the freezer which stack and take less room.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
