Mortgage PPI

Looking for some advice, my husband and I were sold PPI along with our mortgage back in 2003, we were told that we had to take the PPI along with our mortgage as we couldn't progress without it. To this day we are still paying the PPI on our mortgage, should we try to claim this back? would this come under the terms Mis-sold PPI??

Depends on how you bought it. If it was via an adviser then for most, that would be pre regulation (Which started in 2005). So, they wouldnt need to consider a complaint. Plus, many mortgage advisers require you to purchase insurance via them to give free mortgage advice (they make their money on the insurance mainly).
Also, yours is an unprovable verbal allegation. So, they would look at whether you needed it or not financially rather than accept what you say happened as chances are you have no proof and they wont.
