in N. Ireland
Hi all
This maybe is a question for the comp forum, but it is specifically for Northern Ireland-ers!! :hello:
Any dedicated compers over here? How many per day? What have your wins been?
I've won one comp from here (4 big bags of kettle crisps!!
)
NI doesn't be excluded from comp entries, but I'm wondering if the prize winners are more mainland based.
Thoughts??

I started entering competitions about a year ago, and have won about a dozen smallish prizes and one or two larger ones. I go through periods of entering lots of competitions every day (100s?) and then get bored and don't enter any for a while.
I have won competitions with "mainland" companies that don't have operations over here, so I don't think we're automatically excluded, but I don't enter comps run by very small local companies (eg. a hairdresser in the Midlands), which perhaps would rather have a winner who could potentially become a customer.
The problem with living in Northern Ireland is not only do we get excluded from some by the T+Cs of the competition ("mainland UK only"), but I find there are a lot that it would be pointless to enter - prizes you have to pick up from a certain location, tickets to events, days out, spa trips, even overnight stays, because it would be too expensive/impractical to take them up if I did win!
Still, there are some that are Northern Ireland only, so maybe it all balances out?0 -
Thanks for that!!
All makes sense.
Good to know there's a possibility of some fab prize winging it's way to me someday!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -

One big plus is for the moment you still have the NPN (no purchase necessary) entry route.

HAW my Mrs is a fairly dedicated comper and regularly wins prizes, including some top prizes. Last April she won one of the ITV programme comps which was £1000, iPAD, video camera etc. Total prize was worth well over £1500, and this was with an online (not phone or text which were options for entry) entry which was free. So yes big prizes can and do come to N Ireland.0
