Divorced R Navy wife pension

We divorced three years ago and I am now 58 this year. As I have no other income I had no option but to take the half share pension I am entitled to. Its just enough to keep a roof over my head but bills are tough. I feel I fall between two stools here-I am a young "pensioner" but I dont know what other help I am entitled to? Do I have to wait until I am 65/66 when I get my State Pension to be recognised as such or is there help/advice for now. I need part-time paid employment to survive - and its not for the want of trying, there are no jobs out there. In extremis I could pack up and rent my home out!
Any ideas?:)

You are still entitled to JSA and income support thouhg obviosuly the pension benefit reduces this as it's viewed as additional income. Turn2us is a good place to start quaifying what you might be entitled to benefits-wise.
It probably wasn't the greatest move to draw the pension early, but see what you can do with where you are. If you have capital above 6k you need to get your skates on ASAP to claim benefits before April when universal credit will appear, to be entitled to that you need ot have capital of < 16k I believe.
Citizen's advice can also assist you scoping out benefits if you can't get on with turn2us0 -

But where would you live?0
