You really seem to want to start an argument and distract us from the discussion. I'll take from your rhetoric that while you can't bring yourself to admit that I am right, logic dictates you can't say that I'm wrong. That's good enough for me SC, I'm used to you.
Now we've established I'm right on that point, I'm happy to discuss the others you have raised:
1. "Do you ever agree with anything a so called bear states on here?"
Often. I think DervProf would not be annoyed at being called a 'bear' and we agree on a lot of things - as we discussed the other day.
2. "As you seem very fond of the terminology such as crashaholics and uber bears etc etc. "
I've never used the word 'crashaholics'. I used the word 'bulls' and 'bears' only because that's how some guys on here class themselves and each other. I have mentioned several times that it's a ridiculous misuse of a stockmarket term because they are states of mind at various points in time rather than set personality traits. One can be bearish about the stockmarket over a set period, one cannot be bearish about the stockmarket for life.
3. You may well be an optimist renoman but it doesn't mean you are always right as has often been proved in the past.
I'd say I was more of an optimistic realist. I don't know when I have been proven wrong in the past? Perhaps you could enlighten me?0 -

So are you saying that my point about FTBers doing the calculations to see if the house price falls they are seeing are outstripping the increased costs of renting is wrong?
Why does everyone assume that a FTB is renting? Whats wrong with living at home with Mum and Dad and saving but also being able to have a life.0 -

So is this different from a pessimistic realist?
Who is right?
And there is your weakness. "I don't know when I have been proven wrong in the past."
Your lack of any form of humility.0 -

Where did I say there was a problem with living with parents? If the FTB is paying a small rent to the parents then I'm sure the calculation will work in favour of waiting to buy.
The point is that if the FTBer holding off from buying for purely financial reasons then they have to make sure that these financial reasons are based in fact and working for, not against them.0 -

You're simply not willing to enter into a debate are you SC? You seemed intent on starting a slanging match. I wonder why?0 -

Because of the reason I stated above.
You are never wrong, are you renoman.
How can you possibly debate with someone who is never wrong?0 -

What do you actually want to debate about, SC?
We just had a debate about whether FTBers should calculate whether HP drops outweigh their rental costs and you couldn't bring yourself to disagree with me (because it would be nonsense to) and yet you wriggled and wrangled out of agreeing that I was right and now seem intent on trying to create a slanging match in order to distract from this fact.
I'd suggest you have the problem with being wrong, not me.0 -
