Job Application Mixed up - can I complain

I applied for a job directly to a company through an online application form. I did not receive a response regarding this application.

Last week I received the following email, of an interview which I never attended although I had applied for the job:

I am writing following your interview for the above role.
I am sorry to inform you that your application will not be taken further at this stage. I do have some feedback if you have a moment to call me to discuss this.

I called her to clarify what had happened and the lady just said sorry for the mix up.

Can I make a complaint about this.

What exactly are you wanting to complain about?

complaining will not get you the job so I dont see the point apart from making you look like a trouble maker

They clearly have problems in the oganisation of their HR department but I don't see your gaining anything from complaining. Save your time and effort to apply for other jobs.
