Retweeting Twitter comps?

Hi i just have a few questions about retweeting on twitter, i've never won a twitter comp so i'm beginning to think i'm doing it wrong lol!
When retweeting, do you just click the retweet button? Thats what i've been doing but i've noticed that some people copy and paste the tweet and then type "RT" infront of the tweet. Does it make any difference? Also are you allowed to retweet more than once?
Thanks guys!

You need to retweet the original message, not the message of the person re tweeting it.
By putting RT @ at the start it sends it to the company but I don't think that is needed if you are retweeting their message.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0 -
As long as you tweet the original tweet by the company then you are fine.
It does not matter if you do it this way, or you copy and pasteDecember Wins: £300 worth of board games, £500 Tesco Vouchers Best Win in 2023: £500 Tesco Vouchers0
