Mortage Requirments P60

I have been looking at mortgages with various suppliers. As my wages are £20k + 20% bonuses and Commission. They will not offer a full montage estimate till i give a p60 of my past 12 months in current job.

As i understand it P60's are given on 5th April (roughly) i will not have 12 months in my current job only 11. Could i or is it possible to re apply for a new P60 at the end of April or get something equivalent to show the full 12 months rather than 11 ?

I don;t know how this all works being 21 and applying for my first one :(

So basically what i am asking is can i get a P60 for May-May rather than April to April ?

Any help would be great :) ty

  • Short answer is no.

P60s can only be provided for the tax year. You could always provide a P60 plus one months payslip for May, I would imagine.

Provide your P60 in April and then you can explain how it only covers 10-11 months.

Saying that, not many lenders (if any) who will accept the full amount of your bonus with just one years history of it. Are you looking to borrow the most you can possibly get?

If so, this could be a job for a broker, it will save you a lot of time and hassle.
