Does having a 'comping' account reduce your chances?

I did a lot of comping last summer and had a few small wins but nothing major. Did quite a few twitter comps but didn't win any of them.
Someone suggested that it could be that my e-mail and twitter account used for comps both have the word comping in them. So I'm tempted to change names for comping.
Do you think this makes a difference?

I don't honestly know, but I did once have an email account with the word comps in it and changed it for just that very reason. Whether it made any difference, I have no idea.0

My Twitter and FB accounts are only for comping, I rarely win on FB but don't use it that much, but the wins I have had on there have been lovely ones.
Twitter win regularly, it is quite obviously a comping account as 99.9% of my tweets are comps but don't feel it hinders wins xxI love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

If you do decide to change your twitter user name, I believe that you can do this by going to settings and amending it. That way, you do not lose people you are following, or people that follow you etc.0

My email address contains "comps" but it doesn't appear to have caused me any problems winning. I've had a good amount of wins for the number of competitions I enter, from both small and large companies. Who knows, maybe I'd win even more if I did change it, but to be honest I don't think it makes a difference. I don't really think promoters mind who wins, as long as they've abided by the t&c's, and they seem like a genuine entrant.:hello:Hello and thanks to all you gorgeous MSErs posting comps, answers and advice xx0
