Good morning people, newbies and old timers! I hope you are enjoying your long weekend, despite the forecast rain!
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:
Today I will be:
- trying to catch up on some admin before it costs me money because I am late!
- re-do my budget sheets at home to see if there is anything I can change
- try and make sure everything not being used is not on standby, but is switched off at the wall
- putting at least one thing on amazon or ebay
- making storecupboard/freezer meals
Have a good day everyone x

Morning Hypno and all who will follow.
Today I have re-calculated my DFD - CC's will be paid off by end 2009, and final loan repayment is July 2010 :T
I will be going out later to buy a fence for the garden (budgetted for), and as I didn't go out last night as planned and budgetted for I am meeting a frined to go window shopping today - I am taking the £10 saved from staying in last night and leaving my purse at home.

Today I:
* decided not to have lunch out with friends
* went to a free May Day festival thing/ carnival in Hastings
* didn't buy anything whilst browsing the shops
* used some free texts
* did C&S on quidco/ pigsback
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Evening :hello:
Today we went for a picnic to the airport and had a lovely time just watching the planes taking off and landing (there's a little road you can park up on and the planes go right over your car, it's great fun). Cost: not a single penny!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

- today i have ebayed and sold 2 items another 3 ending later
- done pigsback clicks but not sure how to do quidco clicks???

Oops a Daisy - how's the first day gone? I know it's hard giving up smoking, but please persevere - it's a very DFW and Healthy thing to do :-)
I didn't buy my fence, I'm going for it tomorrow on my lunch break.
I had a heart to heart with DH about our debt and the need to budget. He can't wait to start his job in September so we'll have more money to throw at the debt - we're both DFW's now :-) I feel like a big weight has been lifted - I can do anything with DH's help, so the debt just seems like an insignificant problem that we'll esily overcome together.*** PROPHECY_GRRL****** DEBT FREE AS OF 17/10/11 - I DID IT!!! ***0 -
