I am looking for a good ( pref cheap) mascara that will not run if you encounter driving rain/snow!
    Any ideas?

I recently bought the new No7 (in waterproof) one just to try - it was awful & ran down my cheeks!
    Don't buy that one!

If I could ban any beauty product it would be wipes, they are absolute carp for your skin, don't work well and are expensive.

    I agree.

At home I always use the oil cleansing method, to remove my makeup too, but when traveling for work use wipes. I can always tell my skin starts looking really bad a couple days of being away from home no matter how much sleep I get or how careful I am with diet etc. Traced it back to the wipes.
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

Maybelline illegal lengths waterproof, four layers for volume as well comes off easily with any cheap (I like Boots Essentials) oil based remover.

I use aqueous cream, warm water and a cloth to remove mine.

Boots No17 Waterproof (black tube with blue writing) - £4.69.

    It's the only mascara I've ever repeat-bought.

    And I'm a product junkie!!

I stick with the classic Maybelline Great Lash.

I tried Benefit They're Real and I absolutely HATE it! Its too glue like and runny, takes ages to dry and just seems to weigh my lashes down, plus my lashes just stick together so it looks like I have 6 lashes rather than the plenty I do have!
  • I'm loving Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara. It's a really nice mascara which is buildable too. Comes off easy aswell :)
  • I, like you, used to find I lost a lot of lashes no matter how I removed my mascara. I've since tried a "tube" mascara from No 7 at Boots. It's called Stay Perfect. To remove you it you use warm water only, or warm water on a cotton pad. It only comes off with warm water, not cold, and you don't (can't) use any other products to remove it. It comes off in "tubes" (more like little strings!) as the mascara essentially coats round your lashes.

I don't find I lose any lashes this way at all, and it's great fun to take off!! It's also a nice mascara to put on and I get lots of comments on how nice my lashes look. I don't find I lose any of it under my eyes (I used to end up with black smudges before I used this) and it stays on all day.

I was a bit sceptical at first after being given all the speel by the No 7 consultant, but she appears to be right for me so far! I'm on my 5th tube of it and i'm not usually much of a repeat buyer. It's £12.95 so not the cheapest but not the dearest either.
Used to be on here, mainly on the wedding boards. Got married, forgot my details, back as a newbie! :T
