Quick question about muffin recipe

I've just been looking at the recipe index and there is a recipe for a basic muffin mix (TY Curry Queen
) I now have a need to cook muffins right now!!
Quick question - I have plain flour but no baking powder, would it work fine simply using the same amount of self raising flour instead?

Popcorn, I'd say just go for it.
I can only imagine that the original would have slightly more baking powder than you get in sr flour but I'm sure they'll still be delicious. 0 -
It should be fine. The only time it might be a problem is if you're adapting a recipe that uses bicarb and an acid to activate leavening, or a recipe in which very unusual leavening is required.0
