Asda price guarantee is poorly implemented. On purpose?

Hi,

I think that the Asda price guarantee is poorly implemented to discourage people from doing it.

1) At till point they should automatically reduce the price not make people have to do it themselves
2) You have to print the voucher. Why can't they just take the bar code from you.
a) Printing costs you money
b) Its unnecessarily bad for the environment

I couldn't find a contact on their price guarantee website to ask why they impose these rules.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Chris

Why did you look on the APG site, just find a number on asda.com or email them.

I would suggest two reasons for this: (a) lazy customers won't bother about say 4p and these small unclaimed amounts swell the ASDA coffers (b) supermarkets with loyalty cards can generally do all sorts of wizardry but ASDA doesn't have these so you have to add your till receipt to your Favourites yourself for example and that ;ack of techie stuff may be why (c) least plausible ASDA is being environmentally friendly ?
