Can anyone advise, due to come off First Direct 4.99 rate and have seen this deal over 5 years at 2.79%, we are looking at approx 48% LTV however I am currently on maternity leave and will return to work in sept this year. Does anyone know if they will consider someone on mat leave? Hubby still earning but I am on standard basic mat leave for next 2 months and then taking 3 months unpaid then moving onto some holidays before I return.

What's the follow on interest rate with FD?
How much are you looking to borrow?0 -
We have just remortgage with FD to their 2.6% tracker, the house in my wife's name and she is on adoption leave (which should be the same for maternity) and we had no problem as she is still in the same job and on the same wage.
FD did do a credit check and saw the lower income so they asked and we told them why and there was no problem getting the deal, consider they only look at one salary here as I am not named on the loan and a 65% LTV I think you should be ok.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!

There is no better suggestion here than to ask the lender, I'm afraid.I am a mortgage broker.
