Good afternoon, campers! Pass the wine, the corkscrew and the cakes and let's celebrate Sunday afternoon. I have just made some home-made crisps using potato peelings and they are blooming gorgeous! I just trimmed the peelings from yesterday's potatoes, stored them in a bowl of water in the fridge overnight, drained them and blotted them dry, stuck them in a roasting tin with oil and sprinkled with salt and cooked in the oven for about 30-40 minutes while the oven was on for today's roast chicken. I will definitely do this again, rather than throw away the peelings! Now how frugal is that? One life - your life - live it!0
