you can use it instead of pastry to make pasties (the hairy bikers did it on their dieters show) http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=2203283

  • I was going to say cinnamon whirls, but ragz beat me to it! I also use cooking chocolate to make a choccy version, thats lovely too.

I used one the other day but added additional grated carrot and chopped walnuts to the basic wholemeal crusty bread mix. It was a very nice accompaniment to my hm carrot and coriander soup!

thanks everyone!!! i dunno what was wrong with me yesterday as i couldnt think of a single thing! will look at those pasties for sure. and calzone. hmm and i really like cinnamon........
  • My mum used to make something called "sausage bread" with cheese, italian sausage, pepperoni etc. all stuffed into the middle of a loaf of bread. Nutritional nightmare but it was always a big hit at parties. I would imagine you could do all sorts of variations..not dissimilar to a calzone, but loaf sized which might make it less time consuming to make.
