Does anyone know how tax is calculated for that year?
Once the basic allowance amount was reached was it then taxed at 20% up to the next rate? Was there not a 10p rate of tax as well that year?
Grateful for any help.

One of good old Gordon's last acts as chancellor was to abolish this in the 2007 budget. The furore that followed resulted in the personal allowance being increased. The 10% band still exists for savings income only.0
