Could anyone tell me what the rate is for tax on overtime? I only earn 14k a year and I think for the past two years I might've been taxed too much.

If you have the standard code then you get £5225 tax free, the next £2230 at 10% then the rest at 22%.
Your are in the 22% band with your income before overtime so your overtime will be taxed at 22%.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -

It would be easier for us to tell you if you have overpaid or not if you post the figures.
