A bit of a sweeping comment! It depends on which model this is.
Do you have any more details pennypuppy?0 -
I got a 'laser level' in Poundland for.. a pound last week. It's just a small spirit level which shines a red light out of the end. It is a bit small and plastic-crappy looking, but it seems to work okay for working out where to drill holes for shelves. Don't know if I'd want to build a house using one, but it's ok for me0

will I be able to do some 'eye surgery' with this laser?
The clinics charge a fortune...it can't be that hard?
The missus needs it doing but there's no way I'm paying a couple of grand...I'd be prepared to outlay a tenner on a laser & have a go myself though.0 -
isnt the op talking about a laser tape measure ie distance measurer, volume measurer.ive just bought 2 of these kind of tools not stanley but dont know if im using it right when i click read for it to take the measurment the reading i get isnt right cos i double check with a tape measure if something is 1meter 355mm the reading i get is 1.35 doesnt give the 5mm on the end it just gives a 3 digit reading in all measurments so when im doing skirting board or dado 10mm either way makes the job look !!!!!! anybody else had any experience with these kind of measurers0
-
I followed it OK.
Must have been to technical for you to understand.
He said it only reads to 2 decimal points when the distance is over a metre and the 3 point is just as important when measuing for dado or skirting board. i.e it will be cut 10mm to short.0 -

thanks penny, my OH is a joiner, very interested in this post, we will be taking a trip to homebase in the morningdont wait for your boat to come in, get in a dingy and row out to it!!!0 -
Theres a possibility you can set the reading to however decimal points you need. It may be worth contacting the manufactuer.
I dont think this site is for flaming peoples spelling or punctuation, unless you're on the discussion board and can't find a valid point.
I'm going to pop in and see if I can pick one of these up today, many thanks OP, will be very handy if I do have to pop on site myself as I'm pretty cackhanded with a tape measure0 -
I believe the stanley one has a +/- 3mm accuracy as on here
none are perfect but the leica ones are +/- 1.5mm which is what most people would make an error with a normal tape anyway....

Aintree Homebase only had a Stanley Intellimeasure at £59.99. I had it scanned just in case but it was still £59.990
