                    Hi,
Although this isn't exactly money-saving, I thought this sounded like the best board to seek opinion on.
What is the best way to fold the various items of clothes to keep them in best conditon and least scrumpled.
I'm planning to go through my drawers and get rid of anything (by ebay ;-) I don't want to keep and then try the 'filing' style of putting things in drawer I just found out about rather than leaving everything in a pile one on top of the other. It should make it easier to 'browse' and then at least you end up trying different garments rather than just wearing the things on top of the pile over and over.
To do it that way, I'll need to fold it to the items will all stand up?
What's the best way if anyone can share please for different garments?
Thanks

Yes, I do that. I just fold tops in half, then fold the sleeves into two or three until they lie on top of the body, then fold the body up either in thirds or quarters, depending on the size of the item, and then that will slot into the drawer "on end" as it were, so you can see a bit of each item in there.
I do ti with all DD's stuff but she pulls it all out anyway!
But for mine it's great as I can see everything. You just need to fold it so it is compact and stuff, so you can stand it on end. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Ooh this sounds like a good idea. I am looking for different way of storing my clothes because, like you said, I seem to only end up wearing the clothes that are at the top of the pile. When you fold clothes up like this though are they really crumpled when you get them out of the draw?0

I keep my gardening clothes in a drawer. The newly washed clothes go to the bottom of the pile. So the top one on the pile is the oldest IYSWIM
For things on hangers, I hang to the right and take from the left so the oldest items on are the left. Hope you do see what I mean.
