Halifax MPPI rejection

Hi all,
Just received a letter this morning from Halifax denying that our PPI on mortgage was mis-sold but my reasons fall into the categories mentioned in the MPPI article. They seem very definite in their letter.
Has anyone else had dealings with Halifax? Is it worth me pursuing? Bearing in mind I'm overdue with my first baby, I feel really deflated
Thanks in advance for any advice. xx

The first thing you need to remember is that the article for PPI on this site is rather generic. It doesnt cater for different types of PPI. MPPI has the lowest success rate of any type of PPI. It is still regarded as the one type of PPI that is actually worth having. Plus it suffers less than other types of PPI (for example, most MPPI covers the self employed and will pay out in addition to employer benefits). The other thing the article doesnt do well is indicate that whilst some of the reasons listed are mis-sale reasons, the chances of success with some of them is pretty low or near non-existent.

Halifax MPPI is set up correctly. So, you wont win a complaint on a technical failure (i.e. it is monthly premium and no interest charged on it).

So, that just leaves your complaint reasons and what evidence you have to support your complaint. Halifax are saying that they have no evidence to support your allegations. Are you complaint reasons strong or weak? (i.e. are they factual/provable reasons or unprovable verbal allegations)
