Mortgage Error that they want me to pay for!

I recieved a letter today from my mortgage lender (Mortgage Express) that admits an error on their part in calcualting the interest on my mortgage.
It then goes on to ask that we cover the shortfall in the last payment. Bearing in mind that the error was entirely of their making which they have admitted, it's somewhat rich expecting the client to pay for thier mistake.
We're refinancing away from Mortage Express anyway because our fixed rate had ended causing our interest rate to go from 5.89% to 7.11% and now we discover that it's actually 7.24% - naturally they can get stuffed. They're not offering any form of better deal either.
We're moving to Platform who have offered a fixed rate of 5.69% for 2 years. This is a much better deal.
So, if you're looking for a mortage, beware of (what I consider to be) shoddy customer care from some lenders. Naturally, I've written to them to complain - like they'll listen.
