Now! How do I phrase this without offending Mr Pan?;)
Midges like to feed on the great unwashed. If you perspire, they will love you. :p However, they HATE the perfume from anti-perspirent.
Have I offended you Mr Pan or have I just answered your question? ;)
  • Yes - Scotland IS the best place in the world....(beaches, food, social) but it's also close to being the worst (midges, bigotry) place in the world sometimes!

Wha's like us? Dam' few an' they're a deid!!

  • Nah its not the best I would prefer Australia :). My uncle was lucky enough to move there 35 years ago when they wanted brits to move over there and the plane ticket for him and Aunt was only £10 each. But I like here when its nice outside.

  • I expect that most people will have guessed what I am going to say

    ...but you're wrong...

each person/family must find their own greatest place in the world, and it is not always the place that they come from.

Why've we to watch out for badgers? And why's "badgers" suddenly become a naughty word?

    Hmm...
  • Scotland is a fantastic place, we just need to get a grip sometimes. Sure other palces are nice, but the Highlands and Western Isles are fantastic. Mull is beautiful.

Pitlochry is our favourite place for a short break. Sure, we have our idiosyncrasies - who wouldn't have when you look at the neighbours we've got...;)
