Probably need to wait and see what happens next. Did written hand over notes mention taking files to other sites? Do you still have notes? You have said that you have raised this issue before - do you know exactly who to and roughly when?2025 Decluttering Campaign 1056/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅🏅) 🌟🌟🌟

There was no mention within the handover notes, what my job entailed and instructions on how to do it i.e. post handling, how to use the telephones, where to find documents etc ...all pretty general?
I know exactly who to and when as it was a manager but their response was 'I am uncomfortable too' and walked off!
I am banging my head against a brick wall if I am honest because whatever my response they come back to me turning it around to my responsibility.
Morale is low right now, we have had a high sickness level over the past 6 months and whenever matters arise it is thrown back at you as our responsibility - i wish I had a crystal ball so I could see what was expected of everyone without actually being aware of what other staff do but we are all supposed to use our initiative!

Re your post no. 25. How did you raise this issue? in writing? by email or verbally? Hopefully it was in writing or at the very least by email.
You need to make very detailed notes of what conversations you have had about this and with whom. What you said, what they said, with times and dates as well. The more evidence you have the better.
Do you have copies of the emails youhave been sent/sent regarding this issue? It might be worth taking a back up of them or printing them out and keeping them somewhere safe. I'm not surethe best way of doing this - someone elsemay know but it wouldn't surprise me if emails were 'deleted' from the system, conversations denied etc etc as they may be realising they could be in big trouble.
They may also be considering taking some form of disciplinary action and suspending you whilst investigations take place (this may mean you don't have access to any notes you have made/emails you have received/sent which is why you need to considercarefully how to proceed).
I believe as you have been there just under 2 years you are covered in terms of them just getting rid of youfor no reason so theywill at least have to follow proper procedures.
Do you have legal cover through your house insurance or anything just in case you need it?
You might also want to read up on the Whistleblowing Act which again may give you some protection from unfair dismissal.
It sounds like a horrid situation to be in but you now need to protect yourself.
Best of Luck

Thanks Dancing Fairy and GrannyKate
I approached both line managers in person and raised my concerns as initially i only wanted clarification if there was a procedure in place as there did not appear to be one and if not requesting written guidance - big mistake i know on reflection.
I don't want to go into details on here but there this is not the only concern I have around the practices surrounding data protection.
I have spent a lot of time working on procedures right across the organisation, with a lot of research etc done in my own time and there are legal issues right across the organisation due to management being reactive opposed to proactive - a lot of their procedures are outdated and could even be considered illegal and you can only imagine the consequences.. If they had worked with me on this, the organisation would be strengthening their position but as a result of their attempts to absolve themselves of any responsibility by blaming me I am reluctant to advise them without taking legal advice and protecting myself.
I am an administrator, nothing senior, no line management responsibility and I have bent over backwards to help them and they have really have stabbed me in the back, not only on this - so much so now that I have lost all trust and confidence in them. They have placed me in an unattainable position.
Your advice and guidance is greatly appreciated and I can't thank you enough - it's certainly been a light bulb moment for me.0
