Handing in notice

Hello everyone

I have had a formal job offer that I have accepted today.
My new job is due to start on the 2nd April after the bank holiday weekend.
I have holiday booked for the last week of March (the week of good friday) which has been booked for some time.
My holiday year runs from April to April so it's right at the end of the holiday year entitlement.

I am on 1 months notice.

If i hand my notice in tomorrow, can i hand it in with a date of the 31st March/1st April (whichever is cleaner)?
This is more than a month away so can i then put my notice date as 1 month before that date and in effect hand it in in advance?

I work for a small company and to be honest i like the people and the extra time they would have to replace me would help them in the handover so i guess i know im going, the offer has been formally made and accepted.
At the same time, i want my notice to run to the end of March as it means i will not sacrifice any of my holiday entitlement (all be it that it prob only adds up to half a days holiday)

Thanks :)
