Start a business before/during/after Bankruptcy?

Hi,

In short I am about to go bankrupt:(, the usual type reasons too much debt lost job etc. I have stumbled on a business idea that is working well:j, only problem is I need to become bankrupt as I have debt collectors chasing me and a mountain of debts I can't pay.

So can I start a business and run before during and after bankruptcy? I am only looking to be a Sole Trader. I am selling collectables and antiques and I realize that any stock I accrue will be seen as assets potentially to?

I was going to start a business in my partners name but sadly we have gone separate ways as the financial issues we had faced caused the relationship to end.

Anyone offer me advice on this one?

Any advice or help much appreciated, look forward to some replies I hope:)
