good morning darling dfw's!!! well it's a windy but sunny-ish day up here (thought I've not been outside yet so I may be wrong!) and I'm sitting here slurping on the first of my new breakfast smoothies! The health kick wasn't supposed to start till next weekend but I've been so bad recently that I'm bored of it!!!
I was changing the way I do my budgets last week so I didn't set a specific target for myself. I'm planning on doing it on a month to month basis rather than a week to week (was finding weekly spends could be a bit random). Since the 1st I've spent £5.05 of my random spends budget, £21.70 of my food budget (big shop last night) and thats been it (other than the spends from my 'treat' money that came from my aunt). I'm happy enough with that. Next week's food shop should just be for a few fresh bits etc so under a tenner, random spends should be about the same but this week my going out budget will come into play, got £60 that is so far untouched and I think I only have one night out before payday and since it's to celebrate me it should be a belter :j
so here's last week's totals folks, lets have some good news from you all!!!
f85 - £65
jazzyjustlaw - £20
babes21 - £45
bobblehat - £30 ££££
ciara2712 - £5 £1.50
slowlyfading - £30
rachelmk - £20 £18.50
pap - £54 £55.16
aah - £20 (toots I think your sig is a little out of date
)
spendi - £5
rog2 - £40
prephecygrrl - £180 £205.28
savvykaz - £40 £45.60
sans - £45
taxi73 - £5
em1982 - £50 £43.78
and now a word from our much missed leader,
'Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier! Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anythng else.
The reason the challenge is up to Friday is that I like to give myself a day off the counting and let my hair down a bit'
So here's to a great dfw week for us all xxx

Last week I aimed for £20 and got there! (If you don't count Friday evening!).
Total spend from Sunday - Friday evening was £18.50.
This week I'm aiming for £25 as I have £5 in my purse and will withdraw £20 from the cashpoint later if needed.
It is a bank holiday but I have nothing special planned and I have paid (cash left over from weekend money) for the few bits and pieces needed from Tescos for the week until I go "big shopping" on Friday.
Good luck to everyone else!
RJanuary grocery spending - £82.73/ £1200 -
I'm back in this week - £15 - though I'm hoping to keep well below that as no plans to do much today or tomorrow.. well stocked up with food so it should just be bus fares for four days.... fingers crossed!
Good luck everyone!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Well I came in under budget at £43.78. However, having looked at my spending diary, I feel there are more than a few unneccessary spends on there, so to try and reduce them next week I am reducing my budget. Will try for £30  This will include everything except travel, for which I budget a monthly amount. Good luck to everyone else!0

I overspent this week - I budgetted £180 and actual spend was £205.28
My budget for 06/05 - 12/05 is £95, broken down as:
£25 food
£25 petrol
£10 unnecessary spend
£20 going out for friend's birthday and night out tonight (will be driving to both so minimum cost = no alcohol)
£15 new fence for garden
Total spend for today = £0.00, and I'm not going anywhere - I'm paying pennance for last week's overspend

Next week's target will be £20.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Hello!
Not doing a target but...reporting my spends today of £61.38 at Sainsburys. However this included stocking up on a lot of things as they are closed for a refurbishment as of Thursday 10th May so I wanted to get a load of tinned stuff & cleaning stuff etc in whilst I could.
Hopefully next week & week after I can just buy fresh bits from Tesco in my lunch hour and the grocery bills will be quite low.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly
