Hello,
My moan is as follows...
Branch mortgage application done last week. Everything was "OK" and valuation was pencilled in for Monday.
Get a text message on Monday saying its going to be done on Tuesday.
Valuation was done and dusted yesterday and thought I would ring them up today and see how they got on.
Mortgage lady in branch wasn't available so telephoned the main help desk who said "Its been declined on affordability".
How can it be declined on affordability when it was all OK before the valuation.
Surely they wouldnt have done a valuation if it wasnt OK on affordability.
According to the woman on the telephone, it was declined on the 15th, which was last Friday!?! 2 days prior to the valuation.
Anyone got any similar experiences.
Waiting to speak to my mortgage lady tomorrow. Nail biting stuff.

They should refund the valuation, although obviously this does not help you out with your purchase.
