New Nationwide Accounts Coming Soon?

My local Nationwide branch has been badgering me for months to open a credit card and the main selling point they keep saying is the commission free spending abroad. (I currently have a Flexaccount).
Until recently I refused the CC but they did inform me that they have new accounts coming that they will announce toward the end of this month which 'may' have this benefit along with other benefits.
Has anyone else been told such things? If so does anyone else have any further information?
Jamie

I read something on here a couple of weeks ago saying that new current accounts were going to offer 3% interest. I havent heard anything from nationwide (my bank) confirming this though.#84 Make £2020 in 2020 challenge

Ah yes so I see, but my local branch seems to be under the impression that there are several benefits. Just a case of waiting and seeing I guess.0

The 3% is pure speculation by us forumites. Wouldn't be bad though if it's for a decent balance.0 -
The Nationwide AGM literature refers to a new packaged account called FlexPlus which will be launching soon and will offer customers a range of benefits for a monthly fee. Perhaps this account will also have some of the benefits outlined above.0

It looks like your right.
The web contents page is not available yet for it:

Just had a quick google and saw this
http://www.nationwide.co.uk/internetbanking/forms/pcci_0000007005.htm0 -
Considering some of the other pages like:
http://www.nationwide.co.uk/featuresandexclusions.htm
(which mentions FlexPlus insurance policies)
http://www.nationwide.co.uk/appliancelist.htm
(list of applicances we can cover under extended warranty cover via FlexPlus)
http://www.nationwide.co.uk/mobilefamilycover.htm
(mobile family cover aspect of mobile insurance via FlexPlus)
It would seem that they are just jumping on the bandwagon and offering inclusive insurance with their current accounts for a set fee. Maybe you get interest on £2500/month if you pay £9.95 or something.0 -
It isn't exactly exciting me...0
