Good morning people, newbies and old timers! I hope you are enjoying your weekend :j
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:
Today I will be:
- checking online banking and updating spreadsheets
- putting at least one thing on ebay or Amazon
- making a meal plan for next week based on storecupboard and freezer
- making a storecupboard lunch and dinner
- doing a matched bet (hopefully)
- writing up two mystery shop assignments
Have a good day everyone x

Good morning everyone, weather not so good today. In my quest to become debt-free, today I will be/have
- done piggy comps and clicks
- done some washing but drying it indoors on the dryer not the tumbler
- checked online banking to make sure all is well
- prepared some letters to old mortgage companies to reclaim unfair charges
Hope you all have a good one x0 -
I keep reading on here about Matched Bets, Quidco, Pigsback etc. can someone please tell me what these are?0
-
I have:
* Done QuidCo searches & piggy comps
* Hung washing out on line after doing an economy wash
* Did some shopping and hunted out some money saving offers for things we use anyway
* will be off to paint bedroom ceiling in a short while - rather than getting someone in to do it (which was very tempting as the bedroom is 18' long and 11 ' wide )
* Painted bathroom yesterday and made the paint go further by mixing in some water - so got away with using a little pot! The bathroom looks ace by the way!

I've packed up all my ebay items ready to send on tuesday
Managed to catch up with some housework and hoovered upstairs and down, tidied up the living/dining room, hall and bedrooms and put a load of washing on which I'm going to line dry when it's done.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Today have dried washing outside - any volunteers to help with my mountain of ironing then? Guess not - have seen on various threads today that there are several of us who are/ought to be chained to the ironing board later!
Have also just put a batch of home-made rolls into the oven - and I made a bread and butter pudding earlier! I must be getting os too!
Have checked the online banking - trying to find house insurance DD that DH wants me to cancel as he's gone elsewhere this year, but so far no luck - hope he didn't put it on his cc instead.Resolution:
