Hi guys, first of all I'm new. First post here so hello to everyone!
Second, this may be a bit long winded but I'd appreciate any advice anybody could give me!
Basically since I left university in 2011 I've had two retail jobs, both which lasted six months. I left the first job after six months for the second one as the first job cut my hours and the second job was full time. I left on great terms at my first job. I left my second retail job after six months in september 2012, again because of drastic hour cuts and the distance I had to travel wasn't worth it for the hours they could offer me. Again, I left on good terms. I also sustained a bar job for year whilst at univeristy so it's not like I'm shy of working or I'm not willing to work.
So a few months after leaving my second retail job in september, I found myself a retail christmas temp part time job which I was really happy about. But it wasn't until after I took the job on that I realised how difficult it was for me to get home of a night due to awkward bus times. All my shifts were late finishes and I had to get two buses home (my family doesn't own a car and the cost of a taxi to get home was about £15) and if I missed the first bus by even a couple of minutes I had to wait half an hour on my own on a dark and deserted road for the second bus. I stuck this out for a few weeks but I was constantly missing my first bus and then having to wait for my second on my own, concerened for my safety. I even told my manager about this, asking her if I could leave five minutes early so I could catch my first bus and I'd come in early for my shifts but she wouldn't let me.
So I made the decision to leave the job in November and sign on. I had to fill in a form when I signed on writing down the details of why I left my last job. Eventually they deemed this reason 'not sufficient' and said I wouldn't get paid until early January, so I was pennyless over christmas.
Before I even got my payment, I found another job early January this year and so I signed off, happy to have found a job a bit more local. This was a new fast food place that was just opened. The interview was very rushed, I got the job in a matter of days. On what was supposed to be our induction day, we went in to find the shop wasn't even finished being refurmished or decorated so we all spent the whole day of us supposed to be getting trained helping them finish the job. I discussed my hours with my manager and was promised full time hours, the only reason I applied for the job in the first place as it said there was full time vacancies available in the window.
So a few weeks went by and the promises were not kept. I was being given 3 short shifts a week, max, one week I only got one shift! The chefts were rude and bad mannared to me too. We had hardly been given any training and when I didn't know how to do something they would shake their heads and act as if I was annoying them and was stupid for not knowing how to do everything when I was still new. They would also make snide comments and would have me doing everything whilst they would just stand there on their phones. The manager was never in to see any of this, and when I addressed an incident to him about the chef who was responsible for opening up, being half an hour late to open which resutled in me walking around for half an hour not knowing what was going on, he didn't do anything about it.
So after not getting the promised hours, poor management, feeling stressed when I was in there due to the way the chefs were treating me, I left. We didn't even get wage slips when we got paid which also put me off. The whole place was badly run.
So now I've applied for countless jobs. I had an interview last week which I'm waiting to hear back from this week, I just don't know what I'll do if I get a rejection as I've literally got no money in my bank account now. I've still been applying, and have given more CV's out today but I need some sort of money incase I don't hear back from any jobs or I get a rejection from this one.
So my question is, based on the circumstances of my leaving my last job (not to mention the fact that I left the one before too) do you think they will even let me sign on again?
I am willing to work, my past employment history shows that. But they honestly seem to see it that if you left a job for genuine reasons, you're not willing to work at all. I really don't want to sign on, I hate it, but I'm panicking now as I don't have any money to literally go anywhere or pay any of my bills and it's really getting me down.
What do you think my chances are if I went to sign on again?
Sorry, I know that was really long! Thanks to anyone who stuck with it and any help will be much appreciated!

Are you willing to work you have left every role in the last two years for suspect reasons. With the cv you look to be presenting in the current market you have too hopes and one of them is Bob
You've got to stick at something for more than 6 months otherwise you'll struggle to get on in life because soon people will stop giving you the chance.
To give you some context when ever I advertise for staff I get between 50-70 applications. This is just over the minimum wage. Your cv wouldn't Evan get close to an interview.0 -
Assuming your JSA claim was sanctioned for the full 26 weeks you can sign on again at the Jobcentre but you will not receive payment unless you are entitled to hardship payments. You may find you have a new sanction for leaving your most recent job as well.
I'm not sure how you felt that leaving that job because you kept missing buses a good reason. Its not the managers problem either. To be honest waiting half an hour for a bus in the dark and cold although unpleasant isn't really a problem. I used to leave my day job and go to my evening job which I did from 5pm to 10pm, I also had to wait 30 minutes for a bus home, in fact my journey was made up of two buses and I had to be up at 6.30am to start all over again. Sometimes you just have to grin and bear it to get through."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
