Self employed training grants

As my previous thread advised i am looking to expand my business and open up an additional company undertaking surveillance and security. As the security world is now all covered by the SIA licence i was wondering if there are any avenues i could go down to getting training grants as i am self employed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

  • Depending on prior qualifications you could contact your local FE College as the course may be fundable under ESF Workplace Learning which was recently expanded to include self-employed people. Many colleges now offer the SIA apprroved courses (door supervision etc.) so could be worth a call anyway.
